You'll manage customer migrations to Pylon, become a product expert, and drive customer satisfaction by solving their pain points, while iteratively improving processes.

At Pylon, we're building the future of B2B Post Sales.

Top support and success teams at companies like Hightouch, Merge, and Sardine use Pylon to manage their customer support across Slack Connect, Microsoft Teams, Email, In-App Chat, Slack Community—all in one place.

We're building a core system of record, an all-in-one product that has a massive surface area and complex design problems. We believe design is important and is a major product differentiator over incumbents. This is not about mindless pixel pushing, you will be distilling down customer feedback and collaborating with engineers to ship huge features equivalent to entire product lines at other companies. We're early too, this is an opportunity to set the design vision and the design system for Pylon.
What you'll do

  • Combine talking directly with customers with building solutions

  • We're looking for a former SWE who understands what it means to do something once, automate it, and never do it again

  • Migrate new customers off their old support system to Pylon

  • Within your first week, run customer migration meetings

  • Communicate directly with customers and become their main "problem-solver" as they navigate rebuilding their processes and data in Pylon

  • Become a deep product expert and guide customers to the right solution. The customer isn't always right and they often don't know what they want. It's up to you to teach them

  • Contribute to pre-sales calls as the be-all-end-all for potential solutions

  • Be an expert not only in Pylon, but also the systems we migrate from (Zendesk, Intercom, etc.)

  • Juggle many customers at once and drive them to completion.

  • Iteratively improve the migration process

Requirements

  • Located in (or will relocate to) San Francisco and excited about working in-person

  • Very organized, hard working and fast. You will be juggling many migrations at once.

  • Detail-oriented and fast learner. You'll need to become the product expert in many tools quickly.

  • An interest in tinkering with the product and suggesting improvements

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive compensation, based on experience level

  • Medical, Vision, Dental insurance

  • 401K

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Food in the office

  • Fun team offsites and events (we just went to Korea!)

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
