Ferguson has an exciting opportunity for a MDM Solutions Architect to join the Enterprise Solutions team within the Ferguson IT organization. As a Solution Architect – Master Data Management, you will be working in a dynamic and transformative organization, accountable for the end-to-end technical architecture and delivery for Master Data.

LOCATION: This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy. 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Translate sophisticated enterprise data business, functional, and technical requirements into end-to-end architectural designs including data integration, governance, and syndication.
  • Design resilient and extensible approaches to support data orchestration, ingestion, and enrichment from a variety of disparate sources and formats.
  • Analyze and define detailed MDM processes, tasks, workflows, and dependencies.
  • Bring thought leadership, industry, and domain best practices in master data management for multidomain MDM, with a main focus on Product and PIM.
  • Evaluate 3rd party applications and cloud solutions, leading proofs of concept to ensure feasibility of architectural solutions.
  • Provide mentorship to engineering teams through technical design reviews, enablement of CI/CD flows, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring comprehensive project documentation.
  • Act as mentor to others on the team, including engineers, business analysts and product managers/owners.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 8-10+ years of experience in data-focused roles, encompassing increasingly complex duties and leadership in data-related functions, with a focus on master data management.
  • 5+ years delivering the implementation of enterprise master data solutions from a industry leading solution provider like Informatica, Enterworks, Stibo, IBM, etc.
  • Strong preference for experience with Stibo STEP.
  • Solid focus on workflows, UI/UX, inbound and outbound integrations, business rules, and other process-focused aspects of an MDM application
  • Experience developing solutions or configuring applications with Python, C#, Javascript, or similar languages is required.
  • Experience with SQL and data engineering experience is a plus.
  • Experience architecting and delivering solutions in a cloud platform like Azure, AWS, and/or GCP is required
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like Azure CosmosDB or MongoDB is desirable
  • Databricks experience is desirable
  • Experience working with data scientists and machine learning engineers applying both classical and generative AI ML models is desirable
  • Demonstrated expertise in defining system architecture to support complex business needs.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify gaps between current solutions and desired future states by working with business customers, product management, and business analysts.
  • Experience in delivering solutions using agile methodologies to meet business objectives.
  • Solid grasp of environment management, release management, code versioning, and deployment methodologies

Pay Range:

Actual pay rate may vary depending upon location. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.

$6,805.95 - $11,921.25

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
