About the Role
We’re hiring a Solutions Architect to bridge product vision with scalable technical solutions across content, commerce, and infrastructure. You'll partner with engineering leads and domain teams to drive architecture standards, integrations, and high-impact project planning.
What You'll Do
- Lead the definition and communication of system architecture across engineering domains.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Work with engineering teams to design APIs, data flows, and services for commerce, media, and personalization.
- Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies during project planning.
- Evaluate third-party vendors and lead implementation strategy for integrations (e.g. eCommerce, CMS, analytics).
- Define standards for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, deployment, and observability practices.
- Partner with DevOps and platform teams to ensure reliability, latency, and uptime targets are met.
- Guide engineering teams in breaking down monoliths, decoupling services, and evolving toward modular architecture.
Who You Are
- Required: 8+ years of experience in engineering or architecture roles.
- Strong system design and integration architecture skills across cloud-native platforms.
- Deep experience with Node.js, Go, AWS, and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and reliability practices.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership stakeholders.
- Preferred: Experience in eCommerce and media platforms.
- Prior work on headless architecture and Shopify integrations.
- Familiarity with CDN and edge networks (Fastly, Cloudflare).
- Experience guiding vendor evaluations and technical due diligence.
