SOLUTION INNOVATION MANAGER, SOLUTION INNOVATION TEAM

Overview

Snowflake is actively seeking a Solution Innovation Manager to join a new, high impact organization at Snowflake - the Solution Innovation Team.

In this role you will be responsible for leading strategic customer engagements, to showcase the art of the possible on Snowflake, and guide customers in scoping and delivering solutions to their most complex business problems. Enterprises are modernizing data platforms and processes at a growing rate, to meet the demands of their customers. Areas of focus in the Solution Innovation team include Data Engineering, Data Lakehouse, Analytics, AI/ML, Applications, and other features new to the Snowflake platform. This role may work on projects across any combination of these capabilities.

As a Solution Innovation Manager, you will use your exceptional program management, collaboration, and risk mitigation skills to ensure successful project outcomes. This role requires a combination of expertise across program management, issue management, people management, and customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Execution

    • Define program scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.

    • Drive program execution, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

  • Customer Management

    • Manage customer program expectations through proactive and effective communications on status, issues, risks, timelines, and outcomes.

    • Engage strategically with customers to ensure project objectives and business value are delivered.

    • Coordinate with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure timely and successful delivery.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Serve as a liaison between sales, engineering, product, design, and.customers.

    • Facilitate clear and effective communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Identify and mitigate risks while managing cross-team project dependencies.

  • Stakeholder Management

    • Partner with customers and leadership to align program goals with business objectives.

    • Provide regular updates on program progress, challenges, and outcomes.

    • Manage stakeholder expectations by balancing scope, resources, and timelines.

  • Technical Expertise

    • Understand technical requirements and solutions to guide decision-making.

    • Collaborate with engineers to ensure technical feasibility and high-quality outcomes.

    • Act as a technical advocate during discussions and decision-making processes.

  • Process Improvement

    • Identify opportunities to improve program management processes and methodologies.

    • Implement best practices for Agile, Scrum, or other relevant frameworks.

    • Monitor program performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  1. Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.

    • 5+ years of demonstrated industry experience and expertise leading innovative and complex projects in current cloud technologies

    • 5+ years experience in a customer facing delivery role dealing with complex, technical implementations.

  2. Skills and Competencies

    • Strong program management skills with technical and business acumen.

    • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Experience working cross functionally with sales, engineering, product management, and other functions involved in the product life cycle.

    • Ability to thrive and succeed in a dynamic environment not slowed down by ambiguity or competing priorities

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, consultation and organizational skills

  3. Technical Background

    • Familiarity with programming languages, cloud platforms, or system architecture.

    • Ability to engage with technical teams to discuss and challenge solutions.

    • Experience in the Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, AI/ML, application modernization, or Cloud projects

  4. Certifications (Preferred)

    • PMP, PMI, Scrum Master, or Agile certifications
