Who we are:

Action1 reinvents patch management with an infinitely scalable, highly secure, cloud-native platform configurable in 5 minutes—and it just works, with no VPN needed. Featuring unified OS and third-party patching with peer-to-peer patch distribution and integrated real-time vulnerability assessment, it enables autonomous patch compliance that preempts ransomware and security risks, all while eliminating costly routine labor. Trusted by thousands of enterprises managing millions of endpoints globally, Action1 is certified for SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

The company was founded by cybersecurity veterans Alex Vovk and Mike Walters, who previously founded Netwrix, which was acquired by TA Associates.

Introduction:

Action1 is looking for a technically strong and communicative Solution Engineer (Integrations) to develop new product integrations with external systems. This is a greenfield opportunity to shape our integrations architecture and help define how Action1 works with critical third-party tools like ServiceNow, identity providers, and vulnerability management platforms. In many cases, you’ll work directly with customers to gather requirements, analyze use cases, formulate enhancement requests for Action1's core platform to enable these integrations, and implement integrations using APIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to gather ambiguous or high-level integration requirements
  • Define and design integration strategies for various tools, including ServiceNow, Tenable, Rapid7, Azure AD, ConnectWise, and Splunk.
  • Evaluate feasibility of proposed integrations and identify any product limitations; submit clear enhancement proposals to the dev team
  • Prototype and implement integration workflows using REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.)
  • Research how other vendors approach integration and apply best practices to Action1's use cases
  • Create customer-facing technical documentation and internal support materials
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer success to ensure seamless delivery of integration solutions

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in technical solution engineering, integration engineering, or implementation engineering
  • Strong background in API development, consumption, and troubleshooting (RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth2)
  • Experience working directly with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into product solutions
  • Hands-on experience with ticketing, identity, or automation tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Azure AD, RMM/PSA systems)
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to synthesize complex needs into structured proposals
  • Experience in a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment, ideally in cybersecurity or endpoint management
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and working in cross-functional product teams
  • Prior experience in a Solutions Engineer or Implementation Engineer role supporting post-sale technical work

Benefits
  • A collaborative environment encouraging you to own your domain and implement best practices
  • Stable income, benefits, flexible working hours, and opportunities for promotion.
  • Friendly and professional peers, eager to help and help you grow.
  • A multitude of interesting challenges and opportunities.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
