Transforming the Future of Enterprise Planning

At o9, our mission is to be the Most Value-Creating Platform for enterprises by transforming decision-making through our AI-first approach. By integrating siloed planning capabilities and capturing millions—even billions—in value leakage, we help businesses plan smarter and faster.

This not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces waste, leading to better outcomes for both businesses and the planet. Global leaders like Google, PepsiCo, Walmart, T-Mobile, AB InBev, and Starbucks trust o9 to optimize their supply chains.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect with a specialized focus on Supply Planning to join our team. You will lead the design and implementation of advanced supply chain planning solutions on the o9 platform. You will act as a bridge between complex business logic and technical execution, driving value for our global enterprise clients.

What you’ll do for us

  • Process & Requirements Leadership: Lead process and business requirements sessions, documenting "to-be" business processes that leverage supply planning industry best practices.
  • Data Strategy: Identify, collect, and map complex enterprise data—such as historical sales, shipment, inventory, logistics, and supply chain operations data—from diverse sources (databases, ERPs, flat files).
  • Architectural Design: Convert complex business logic into scalable technical platform designs, demonstrating a deep understanding of platform infrastructure and supply planning workflows.
  • Technical Configuration: Configure technical specification documents and tool configurations within the o9 platform to solve deep operations and supply planning problems, instituting rigorous performance monitoring systems.
  • Advanced Analytics: Utilize mathematical models, predictive methods, statistical techniques, optimization algorithms, and simulations to analyze large enterprise datasets, providing actionable business insights and data visualizations to client leadership.
  • Data Integration & Modeling: Leverage programming languages and statistical/optimization tools to conduct data integration (ETL) and create models that generate time-series forecasts and robust operational plans.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Internal R&D teams to resolve solution gaps and deploy custom fixes within the customer environment. Partner with IT, business stakeholders, and Cross-Functional Teams to ensure successful project planning and execution.
  • Testing & Automation: Design and execute robust testing protocols (workflow and data analytics test-cases), document trackable issues, and drive the end goal of automated testing with support from Junior Analysts.
  • Training & Mentorship: Plan, develop, and deliver Super User and End User training for a global user base. Mentor Junior Analysts to rapidly familiarize them with the technical and business aspects of large-scale projects.

What you’ll have

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Degrees preferred in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields (including Supply Chain Engineering) with a concentration in operations, supply chain, or analytics.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience implementing supply chain planning solutions or working directly within a complex supply chain/logistics organization.
  • Firsthand experience leading a team through the full lifecycle of a supply chain planning solution implementation, including business requirement gathering, solution design & development, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover, and value realization.
  • Prior experience configuring and deploying advanced planning systems, with strong exposure to enterprise ERP tools.
  • Proven track record of using Agile methodologies to deliver large-scale enterprise implementations.
  • Exceptional ability to present and translate complex technical and mathematical topics in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner to both executive and technical audiences.

Skills:

  • Supply Planning Mastery: Deep supply planning experience, having worked with or implemented one or multiple supply planning products, is required.
  • Database & Querying Proficiency: Knowledge of database architecture (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) and strong coding skills in languages such as SQL, MDX, T-SQL, or similar are required.
  • Analytics & Statistics: Strong analytical techniques, data mining knowledge, and proficiency in handling massive datasets. Coursework or a strong background in mathematics and statistics is required.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to identify key insights, prioritize effectively, and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks is preferred.
  • Standard Tooling: Proficiency in spreadsheet and presentation software (Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Docs) is required.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Strong verbal, written, presentation, and demonstration skills. Must be able to work seamlessly in distributed teams across different time zones, interacting effectively at both the executive and junior levels in a corporate hierarchy.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
