Own test planning, exploratory and risk-based testing, and automation across sprints. Partner with product teams to define acceptance criteria, maintain test environments, contribute to regression suites, surface defects, and develop a testing specialization (automation, API, performance, security, or release coordination).
Daxko builds the software that powers fitness, wellness, and community organizations—everything from member management and payments to digital engagement and analytics. From small studios to the largest associations, we help thousands of fitness businesses streamline operations, enhance member experiences, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
As a Software Test Engineer at Daxko, you'll be a core quality voice on a cross-functional product team, helping ship high-value features quickly and confidently. You'll own test planning, exploratory testing, and automation work across your sprint cycles while also developing deeper expertise in a specialization that fits your interests. This is a role for someone who thinks broadly about quality, not just coverage.
What you'll do:
- Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to define acceptance criteria, break down user stories, and plan sprint testing activities
- Lead exploratory and risk-based testing to surface defects before they reach customers
- Contribute to automated regression test suites in collaboration with Software Engineers in Test
- Maintain and improve testing environments within your area of ownership
- Serve as a product and system knowledge resource for your team, communicating obstacles and technical findings clearly
- Research emerging testing tools and approaches to keep your practice current
- Develop toward a specialization: test automation, release coordination, security/penetration testing, performance testing, or API testing
What you'll bring:
- 2+ years of hands-on software testing experience
- Working knowledge of Agile development practices
- Solid grounding in software quality assurance processes and tools
- Experience with SQL for issue investigation and testing efficiency
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently on a distributed team
- An Associate's degree, coding bootcamp, or equivalent experience in IT or Computer Science
Nice to have:
- Experience testing web or mobile applications
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks or contributing to a shared test suite
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman
- Exposure to JavaScript, .NET, C#, or Java
- Experience with performance, load, or stress testing
- Comfort with session-based or exploratory testing methodologies
