You will play own the development of accurate, clear, concise, and consistent documentation for our VR learning platforms, supporting internal teams, partners, and end-users. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and educators to bring technical concepts to life through exceptional writing. You will bridge the gap between technical complexity and user-friendly clarity and ensure that educators, developers, and stakeholders can fully understand and maximize the use of our technology.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain a wide range of documentation, including: Technical design specs, product manuals, API/SDK documentation, system architecture diagrams, and knowledge base articles.
- Work closely with VR developers, QA engineers, product managers, and education specialists to gather detailed requirements and product knowledge.
- Document VR user interfaces, onboarding flows, and learning management system (LMS) integrations.
- Develop and manage tutorials, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides for internal teams and external partners.
- Participate in product development cycles (Agile/Scrum), attending stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions to stay informed of changes.
- Contribute to UX writing for VR applications and interfaces, collaborating with designers for in-experience clarity.
- Lead initiatives to standardize technical language and content structures across teams.
- Support regulatory and compliance documentation, especially for education-related standards (e.g., FERPA, accessibility guidelines like WCAG 2.1).
- Help develop interactive documentation or VR-enhanced help systems for next-gen support experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience writing for developer tools, APIs, and software platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with VR/AR technology, Unity, or Unreal Engine is a significant plus.
- Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile/Scrum.
- Expertise in tools such as:
- Markdown, HTML, Git, Jira, Confluence, Figma (for design collaboration), Doxygen, or Swagger (for API docs).
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a creative and dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience in instructional design or e-learning content, including developing video tutorials (Preferred).
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA, WCAG) (Preferred).
- Experience working with education institutions or learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas) (Preferred).
