Build the sales pipeline and close new software customers

RecRivals is building technology for recreational sports. We are hiring a hands-on salesperson to sell the platform to league operators and sports organizations. You will own the sales process from finding the right prospects to discovery, product demonstrations, follow-up and closing, working closely with the founder and product team.

What you will own

Research and prioritize prospective league operators and sports organizations. Reach decision-makers through thoughtful outbound calls, email and professional networks. Understand their registration, payment, scheduling and communication workflows. Run clear product demonstrations using supported capabilities and approved commercial terms. Follow up consistently, handle objections, negotiate within agreed authority and close new customers. Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, next steps and forecasts. Coordinate a clear handover for implementation and capture product feedback without promising unapproved features.

What strong performance looks like

Build a repeatable prospecting routine, generate qualified conversations, progress credible opportunities and win customers who are a good fit. Measure conversion through outreach, discovery, demonstrations, proposals and closed business. Test and improve messaging based on results. Own follow-through and be candid about lost deals and gaps. Specific targets and commission terms will be agreed with the founder.

Working arrangement

Remote from Latin America or the Caribbean, with dependable availability for customer calls during North American/Eastern business hours. Exact coverage and any evening demonstrations agreed before hire.

This is one role advertised across multiple recruitment locations. Applicants throughout Latin America and the Caribbean are welcome. Please apply once.

RequirementsWhat you bring

Evidence of personally selling B2B software or a comparable consultative product, including self-generated pipeline and closed deals. Strong spoken and written English, confidence on calls and demonstrations, disciplined CRM use and persistent professional follow-up. Ability to learn a technical product and explain practical value to nontechnical buyers. Experience selling to sports organizations, clubs, leagues or facilities is useful. We value clear evidence of what you personally did and achieved over impressive job titles.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
