Use your strong knowledge of test automation to expand the reliability of our instrument systems. You will collaborate with other software engineers and scientists in the development of analytical applications, working on design of graphical data presentations, algorithms, device communications, and complex data workflows. The responsibilities of this position are to be responsible for the design of test solutions to verify protein analysis product software. Interfaces closely with other disciplines on project teams to ensure a seamless transition into software verification phases of projects and that testing is comprehensive with respect to software requirements. Participates in reviews for software requirements and provides up-front feedback on requirements testability.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Disciplined and detail-oriented; deliver robust, readable test protocols Tests basic features of new softer releases using pre-defined test plans and scripts to identify defects Follows uniform testing procedures. Documents results and uses designated systems and tools to track outcomes. Performs follow-up rounds of testing as needed. Executes testing procedures to ensure that software meets established quality standards. Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects. Verifies fixes. Documents testing according to required procedures. Familiar with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies. Assist with the content of new testing scripts and plans. Ensure that all verification activities are conducted in accordance with Quality System requirements Determination and sound technical judgment in problem solving, analytical techniques, develops new / creative test designs, and can work independently with little supervision Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook and follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the AWAIR, Chemical Hygiene and Exposure Control manuals in accordance to the job.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years test automation experience or relevant experience and training. Attention to detail, organization, and data analysis skills are required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment, multi task, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with off the shelf test management tools (e.g. Zephyr, TestRail, etc.) Experience with Python 3.X preferred. Experience with test automation (e.g. TestComplete, Ranorex, etc.) Education or experience in biology preferred Strong written skills necessary to document software and test procedures Ability to work within an agile test development environment Familiarity with version control systems and release methodologies Skills in problem solving; including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate a course of action. Experience executing to verification plans Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects. Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner. Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written. Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level accuracy. Ability to work independently and with a team.
