The Job/What You'll Do:

The Technical lead will research, design, develop, configure, integrate, test and maintain existing and new applications and/or integrate 3rd party developed applications with AssetMark’s systems. Responsible for conducting, and coordinating software development activities throughout various projects, including key design decisions. Candidate will work closely with Application Architects and business SMEs and will be reporting to the Senior Manager or Director, IT Application Development responsible for building IT solutions in Billing & Finance business domain.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to out Encino, CA office.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and debug batch-oriented file processing & high-availability applications
  • Document key SDLC processes by producing formal documents like Solution Architecture Document Technical System Design Specifications, etc. 
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis 
  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors and develop suitable integration solutions
  • Conduct formal and informal training and learning sessions with Team members. 
  • Provides accurate estimates (Resource / Time) to Management for work activities 
  • Participates in troubleshooting complex issues and resolving defects 
  • Provide technical thought leadership and be a strong collaborator with domain SMEs, application architects and senior development teams and management
  • Adopt new and emerging technologies to provide solutions to client needs
  • Participate in various Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews.
  • Mentor and assist Scrum team members in accomplishing their assigned tasks and removing any impediments.
  • Perform Code Review sessions with the development team to improve the quality of the system / Processes developed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise in administering, integrating, orchestrating various resources on Azure
  • Expertise in Design and Development of Web / Windows applications in various Microsoft technologies such as C#, and VB.Net.
  • Expertise in designing and optimizing ETL pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark for scalable data processing.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server (DB Design, Query Optimization, Indexing)
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL and Document-Oriented Database programs.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (preferably SAFe)
  • Familiarity with Version control, CI/CD, release management, and Azure DevOps services.
  • Familiarity with project management systems such as JIRA & MS Project. 
  • Ability to quickly grasp new technology concepts. 
  • Object-oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts. 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good experience handling vendor’s platforms and products. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in collaborating in a matrixed architecture team delivering timely results. 

Education & Experience:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or experience 
  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology supporting development of complex projects involving significant exposure to custodian review and risk systems

Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $135,000-$150,000.

 

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
