Role Summary:
We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to spearhead the development of new features, drive project execution, and devise scalable solutions in close collaboration with the product manager and the engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Grow & coach a high-performing team – hire, mentor, and develop engineers so they deliver their best work and advance in their careers.
- Drive outcomes, not just output – partner with Product to clarify goals, measure success, and unblock your team so they ship meaningful value to customers.
- Own sustainable delivery – keep projects on track through proactive planning and clear communication, so shipping happens smoothly—without heroic last-minute sprints.
- Shape how the team works – gather feedback, refine processes, and champion modern engineering practices that raise the technical bar.
Qualifications
- 5 + years of professional software engineering experience, including team leadership.
- Proven ability to build engaged, autonomous teams that hit ambitious goals.
- Full-stack background (Python preferred on the back end, React on the web front end).
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and Temporal—or eagerness to learn quickly.
- Passion for continuous learning, clear communication, and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid environment.
Compensation Information: $180,000 - 200,000
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine’s total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
