Duration: Summer 2026 (8–12 weeks)
Role Overview:
The Software Engineering Intern will support the Software development department by assisting in engineering processes, software modeling, and integration activities.
This role provides hands-on experience with software mapping, system development and integration, and engineering documentation within a real-world aerospace and defense environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with process mapping and modeling to improve software engineering workflows
• Write work instructions, procedures, and other technical documentation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve methodologies and documentation accuracy
• Perform other related tasks within the Software Engineering department as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience in one or more of the following languages: C, C++, Python, C#
• Experienced using Linux Operating System
• General understanding of general networking
• Experience with data structure and algorithm generation
• Experience developing embedded systems, i.e., Arduino, Robotic project(s), Control System project(s) is a plus
• Background in signal processing or audio processing is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering specifications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
Education:
Pursuing a major in Computer Science, Software Engineer major, or similar major with exposure to software development Preferred: Rising seniors; Rising juniors considered on a case-by-case basis
Previous internship experience preferred but not required.
Salary Range: $22.00 - $25.00
*Due to export control laws and government contract obligations, must be a US Citizen.*
