Position Overview
We are seeking a Software Engineer, UI/Frontend Developer to develop and implement scalable, responsive, and highly interactive front-end and mobile applications. This role requires solid experience in React, Material-UI, micro-frontend architecture, federated component development, CSS, and HTML. Experience with UI/UX design systems and building consistent, reusable component libraries is essential.
You will work closely with the UI/UX team on web development, ensuring modularity, reusability, and seamless integration with backend teams through RESTful APIs. This position demands excellent web development skills to drive responsive product design and optimize performance.

Essential Functions

• As part of an agile team, build and enhance financial business application software for the entertainment industry.
• Develop complex, high-performance, scalable, responsive UIs using modern frameworks.
• Participate in the adoption of micro-frontend architectures and federated component designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end systems.
• Implement and maintain design system standards, ensuring consistency across applications.
• Follow best practices related to coding, testing, and building software using the latest web application development technologies, in a cloud-based continuous integration environment.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, including new frameworks, performance optimizations, and UI/UX innovations.
• Work as a senior developer with a core skill set centered around React, Material-UI, CSS, micro-services/web APIs, UI/UX, and HTML5/JavaScript.
• Innovate digital experiences by integrating the latest trends and technologies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4+ years hands-on web development (React, Material-UI, CSS, UI/UX design system, and HTML5/JavaScript) experience in developing single-page integrated & modern web apps.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in integrating microservices, REST/web APIs across web applications.
• Hands-on experience in micro-frontend architectures and component-based development.
• Solid experience building, maintaining, and evolving UI/UX design systems and reusable component libraries.
• Solid experience using event and data streaming to build highly dynamic and performant applications.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Solid experience building large, multi-tenant web-based and/or client-server applications.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using technologies such as Redis, Elasticsearch, WebSocket/SignalR, and embedded solutions.
• Financial systems experience (accounting, payroll, etc.) is a plus.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent required; advanced degree a plus.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.

Special Work Conditions    

• •    Sedentary – Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. The compensation range for this position is: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year.
