At Jukebox Health, our mission is to empower everyone to live safer, healthier, more independent lives at home. We partner with health plans to make homes safer and more accessible for older adults and high-needs populations. We achieve this by combining technology with networks of clinicians, suppliers, and installers to deliver personalized home modifications and environmental supports nationwide. Founded by experienced entrepreneurs, Jukebox Health is a fast growing healthcare services company backed by top venture capital firms like Valtruis and The Home Depot.

We're seeking a versatile Software Engineer who brings strong engineering fundamentals and can work across our technology stack. This role requires someone who loves engineering and can own complex projects end-to-end, from architecture design to implementation. While Salesforce development will be a key component of your work (approximately 50% of your time), we're looking for a true full-stack engineer who can adapt across multiple technologies and platforms to drive our rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build sophisticated system integrations across platforms including Salesforce, Shopify, NetSuite, and other critical business systems
  • Develop custom UIs and features within Salesforce that go beyond simple configurations, creating seamless experiences integrated with external systems
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of features that span multiple platforms and technologies
  • Build robust API connectors and data pipelines, including work with external APIs like Google Maps for location-based calculations
  • Contribute to our broader engineering initiatives using JavaScript and other technologies in our stack
  • Take projects from concept through deployment, ensuring both technical excellence and positive business impact on sales operations and forecasting
Qualifications

Required

  • 3-4 years of software engineering experience with JavaScript, React, Ruby, TypeScript, NextJS, and/or nodeJS
  • At least 50% of your last 1-2 years focused on or including Salesforce development
  • Proven ability to build complex, integrated systems that span multiple platforms
  • Strong understanding of API design, data transformation, and system architecture
  • Experience with full stack development
  • Passion for engineering and solving complex technical challenges
  • An engineer-first mindset who happens to have Salesforce experience, not a Salesforce admin looking to code

Preferred

  • Experience with healthcare technology
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) or ERP systems (NetSuite)
  • Knowledge of workflow automation and business process optimization
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Ability to thrive on technical challenges that require creative solutions beyond standard implementations
How We Invest In You
  • Generous company-funding of our health, vision, and dental plans
  • HSA plans
  • Short and Long-Term Disability
  • Life and Personal Accident Insurance
  • Hospital Insurance
  • 401(k) immediately upon hire
  • Generous candidate referral program

Time Away

  • Unlimited PTO + 10 paid holidays Remote First Team

Remote First Team

  • $1000 stipend you can use towards work from home costs
  • Frequent team off-sites and get-togethers around the country
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Monthly Townhalls
  • High trust environment
  • A laptop and company swag upon hire

Compensation Range: $140,000 - $160,000/year

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
