Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Software Developer, System Engineer, IT Consultant, or in a related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Designing and developing scalable apps using the Spring Boot framework. This position requires experience with the following: Implementing RESTful endpoints with Spring MVC and integrating Spring Security; Utilizing Spring Data JPA and Hibernate for object-relational mapping tasks; Managing project lifecycle and writing unit tests for Java applications using Apache Maven and Mockito; Creating Swagger and OpenAPI specifications, schema definitions and object structures; Deploying and managing applications using Apache Tomcat with Docker, ensuring efficient application building; Using Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications and implementing service discovery; Data processing with Apache Kafka and IBM messaging queues; Building and enhancing database schemas, stored procedures in PostgreSQL and Oracle DB using PL/SQL; Monitoring system performance using Prometheus and Dynatrace and trace end-to-end transactions; Creating and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins; Utilizing SonarQube for code quality analysis; Developing cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP, using services like EC2, S3, and Event Hub; Using Bitbucket and Git for version control for managing code.

Full-Time. Salary: $202,200 - $215,000 per year.
