As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Lending Technology organization, you will be remotely based in the Michigan market. This is a remote position. Work may be performed from a quiet, confidential space in a home location, approved by PNC. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

We are looking for a Software Engineer Sr to champion our testing strategy and ensure the delivery of high-quality software across our platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of developer workflows and the ability to work closely with engineering teams to support Agile, test-driven development.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in automation testing, proficient with tools such as Karate, Gherkin, Cucumber, and passionate about building robust, scalable test solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks and test strategies.

Collaborate with developers to understand application architecture and integrate effective testing solutions.

Promote behavior-driven development (BDD) through tools like Gherkin and Cucumber.

Mentor and guide other quality engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.

Drive quality efforts throughout the SDLC in an Agile, ticket-based environment.

Continuously seek opportunities to improve test processes, speed up feedback loops, and ensure efficient defect tracking and resolution.

Job Description

• Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
• Writes code, tests and deploys software.
• Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
• Maintains and debugs software.
