We’re seeking a driven and experienced Software Engineer with strong full-stack expertise to join our talented, remote-first US team.

What your Team Does:
The Results by OpenX team works with Data Science and other Engineering teams to create and maintain the platform that enables our customers to utilize our growing suite of AI models.  You will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of SWEs and SDETs focusing on different domains (both frontend and backend), making impactful changes to our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply strong understanding of system architecture and critical components to build scalable and maintainable software.
  • Design high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems
  • Architect, create, and deliver new features and functionality
  • Work with Product to drive the requirements, and own the project end-to-end
  • Facilitate collaborative discussions with team members and stakeholders to identify and deliver the best solutions to user and business problems.
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes
  • Promote engineering excellence by writing clean, reusable, readable, and testable code following team coding standards.
  • Design for testability, and contribute to test plans by writing robust unit, component, and integration tests.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-stack development experience with strong proficiency in Python for backend development and modern frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; we’re open to non-traditional paths with strong engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with database system design
  • Act as a technical lead on medium to large-sized initiatives, coordinating efforts and ensuring delivery quality.
  • Ability to clearly articulate technical designs, trade-offs, and implementation details to teammates and stakeholders.
  • Proactively address technical debt and recommend refactoring strategies.
  • Proven ability to launch new products, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and break down complex problems into clear milestones.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with product and design teams to deliver user-facing features.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in digital media, marketing technology, or advertising technology
  • Strong understanding and application of data engineering and data warehousing best practices
  • Experience working in cloud-native environments (ask us about our migration to Google Cloud Platform!) using Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Be excited to work with emerging technologies and complex projects
  • Fluently speak algorithms, data structures, and platforms
  • Experience with the Python Pandas library
  • Experience working on platforms with multi-step workflows, complex data models, or user-facing configuration tools.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Copilot
  • Experience with Airflow and Dataform
