As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you'll help build a meaningful engineering discipline, combining software and systems to develop creative engineering solutions to operations problems. Our support and software development activities are centered around enhancing existing systems, developing infrastructure, and streamlining tasks through automation. You'll join a team of curious problem solvers with a diverse set of perspectives who are thinking big and taking risks. In this environment.
Job responsibilities
  • Executes software solutions, design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual operational work
  • Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents
  • Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectives
  • Design self-healing and resiliency patterns
  • Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions
  • Help development teams with their CI/CD pipeline to increase velocity and improve quality
  • Collaborate and influence across the organization on behalf of their application portfolio

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Expertise in at least one technology stack designing, coding, testing, and delivering software
  • Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
  • Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer, or Software engineer
  • Proven experience as a software engineer, including proficiency in at least one systems programming language Python
  • Understanding of some of the SRE concepts, such as Service Level Objectives and Error budgets
  • Experience with Linux

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in SRE toolchain such as Grafana, Splunk, DataDog, Geneos.
  • Experience Kubernetes , AWS, Terraform
  • AWS Certifications
