Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer II, you will: 

  • Developing medium to large websites, console applications, RESTful and GraphQL APIs using the Microsoft stack with C# and JavaScript.
  • Contributing to an agile project team consisting of Full Stack Developers, Technical Leads, Projects Managers, and Strategists to help understand and document client requirements, estimate work, develop new solutions, and enhance existing solutions.
  • Building and maintaining internal tools to streamline our development process, proactively react to issues and enhance productivity.
  • Understanding and collaborating on our development and coding best practices.
  • Actively participating in code reviews.
  • Building packages and deploying software to integration environments such as Microsoft Azure and Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs in C#, JavaScript, and Microsoft MVC.
  • 5+ years of experience with modern software design patterns, debugging and refactoring.
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks with React, Vue.js, or Angular. (React preferred)
  • Experience troubleshooting HTML, JavaScript, and CSS issues.
  • Experience resolving cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Experience with MS SQL, Postgres as well as other databases like CouchDB, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Visual Studio Tooling.
  • Experience with code versioning tools, such as Git or SVN.
  • Experience with continuous integration and automated build products like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
A plus to have
  • Experience with creating and maintaining RESTful micro services.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining GraphQL micro services.
  • Strong testing and quality assurance ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in an independent environment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or close to graduating or equivalent work experience) in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Analysis or similar.
