Job Summary:

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join our global team of talented software engineers. You will be expected to work closely with product engineering, infrastructure and product management teams to help us build the tools, methods, and framework necessary to build best in class web and mobile experience for our clients. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • You will partner with our globally distributed cross-functional teams (Product, Infrastructure, Engineering, Data Science/Machine Learning ) to conceptualize and develop new features and products in an Agile environment. 

  • You will work on end-to-end delivery of software components all the way to production, owning team features or systems. 

  • You will write high-quality code to optimize for extensibility and maintainability with minimal supervision

  • Work with other engineers to write specifications to make technical solutions and steps concrete

  • Work with other engineers to design solutions to customer driven and end user facing problems

  • You will be exposed to a wide range of difficult technical problems, and while you’ll receive continuous guidance and mentorship 

  • You will help us build web services and REST APIs at scale, and produce high-quality results with direct business impact with minimal supervision

  • You will assist and participate during the design and implementation of our mobile SDKs and applications

  • You will be assisting our QA and support team in triaging and resolving production issues and addressing bugs.

  • You will help us define and promote mobile engineering best practices at the company, as well as help us build and deploy processes.

Job Requirements:

  • BS or higher, in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (i.e. Physics or Mathematics) or equivalent technical experience from a coding bootcamp

  • 2-4 years of software engineering experience with full stack web development or mobile development

  • Experience working with some of the following: Web application development, Unix/Linux environments, mobile application development, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.

  • You are interested in our tech stack (Java or Scala, Go, React, Flutter, SQL Databases, NoSQL, Microservices, and AWS)

  • You are interested in working across both iOS and Android

  • You will have strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, various programming languages, distributed systems, etc. 

  • You understand engineering best practices and seek to improve engineering standards, tooling and processes. 

  • You write “good code” - easily understandable, secure and testable! 

  • Ability to develop operational knowledge to use any new technolgy or language as needed for the job

  • A strong understanding of SDLC tools and processes, including source control, release control, change control, and automated build solutions

  • A customer-first mindset and ability to communicate complex technical concepts with individuals across varying levels and functions of the organization

  • Comfortable working within Agile methodologies in a global, cross-functional, collaborative team environment

  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $140,000-$150,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity,  comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
