The Software Engineer II, ServiceNow is responsible for developing and maintaining code within ServiceNow to implement new capabilities and features, enhance performance, and ensure maintainability. The Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams, participates in Agile ceremonies, and supports the platform through its lifecycle.

Compensation includes a base salary of $87,200.00 - $130,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize technical and procedural skills to support the team's work within ServiceNow or other relevant systems.
- Participate in design and development discussions, aiding the team in conceptualizing desired outcomes from a software engineering perspective.
- Ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices.
- Develop integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST APIs, MID Server, and Integration Hub.
- Maintain and optimize ServiceNow applications to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Identify automation opportunities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices in ServiceNow implementations.
- Provide support for ServiceNow upgrades and enhancements.
- Participate in reviews of your own work and lead reviews of colleagues' work.
- Assist in estimating features and elements in terms of technical input, resources, time, and anticipated outcomes.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting and enhancements for both existing and new functionalities.
- Document processes to capture best practices, methodologies, and ensure repeatability.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and concerns to team members, managers, product owners, and other key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 14 years' experience in a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in ServiceNow development or enterprise software development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, and API development.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, and App Engine.
- Experience with integration methods such as REST APIs and Flow Designer.
- Experience with ServiceNow Scoped Applications and App Engine development.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Workflow Editor.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data structures, table relationships, and ACLs.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Agile development principles and experience working within an Agile development practice.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Application Developer (CAD) Certifications.
- ServiceNow Micro or Implementation Certifications are a plus, as well as Agile Certifications.
