Software Engineer II (Frontend), Customer Developer Observability

The mission of the Developer Observability team is to deliver a product suite that provides this clarity, empowering customers with not only the necessary troubleshooting insights but also the guidance to implement industry best practices and ensure their integrations are continuously optimized for future innovation.

What you’ll do:

  • Be part of a full-stack team of Frontend, Backend and Data engineers who like to balance robust design with lean development, by validating concepts with minimal effort and then being able to shift to highly reliable systems 
  • You will be primarily working on the user interfaces for the team using Vue.js to help us scale our business by providing the best possible user experience for users of our product
  • You will be responsible for the full life cycle of your developments. This includes architecture, communicating with stakeholders to understand requirements (product owners, product designers, merchants etc), automated testing, iterating purposefully, and monitoring the impact of your projects
  • Contribute to the team’s ideas, and bring your own point of view on engineering best practices
  • Identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more robust and scalable
  • We launch fast and iterate often. Concretely, this means that within your first few weeks, you will bring live functionalities that impact many merchants and shoppers
  • Collaborate across teams and time zones to get projects over the finish line

Who you are:

  • You have at least 5+ years of experience with building things in JavaScript and solid experience in Vue.js
  • You recognize yourself in the Adyen Formula: being open minded, having a proactive attitude, always trying to make it work while keeping the bigger picture in mind
  • You actively share your knowledge and enthusiasm to develop yourself and your team
  • You are comfortable with asking and receiving constructive feedback from your colleagues regularly
  • You’re able to independently gather technical requirements and create a plan to execute those requirements
  • You are comfortable engaging with Backend code
  • You are a strong team player, you like to connect and communicate in person with your team members and other stakeholders to come to the best solution
  • Office first culture: we love working together! Due to our hybrid work model, we expect you to come to the office at least three days per week
  • Able to communicate in English

The annual base salary range for this role is $169,000 - $232,000 in San Francisco, plus RSUs; to learn more about our compensation philosophy, please click here.
