RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and build backend solutions to support hardware development, bringing data to those who need it with robust backend systems.
Create tools that integrate with hardware equipment like environmental chambers, oscilloscopes, and other engineering devices.
Develop APIs and services to enhance connectivity across hardware workflows.
Automate and maintain high-throughput data pipelines to provide real-time insights to engineering teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional hardware teams to identify and address pain points in development workflows.
Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with WHOOP’s mission to deliver innovative hardware solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficiency in Python for backend development, with experience designing APIs and building distributed systems.
Experience with data pipelines, database systems, and tool integration for hardware workflows.
A collaborative mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.
Interest in or exposure to hardware development processes, with a willingness to learn.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong sense of ownership.
Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.
Bonus: experience building front-end applications using frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
