Paces is building the development engine for power projects and renewable infrastructure. We have built Agentic AI that automates early-stage due diligence and pairs it with in-house expertise to accelerate late-stage diligence. The result is projects that move from siting to construction-ready in a fraction of the time. Our platform supports renewable energy and data center developers, real estate firms, EV charging companies, and more by streamlining siting, interconnection, and permitting.

🏆 What You’ll Achieve

  • Build and maintain large-scale geospatial data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency and security
  • Optimize and expand our core geo analytical features, leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms and technologies
  • Work in tight collaboration with product managers and software engineers on the data product roadmap

📈 Requirements

  • Relevant internships / professional experience in software engineering or data science
  • Solid grasp of data engineering concepts, including ETL design patterns, data modeling and data structures
  • Excellent coding proficiency with proven experience in at least one of: Python, Rust, Scala, R
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL
  • Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools (Dagster, Prefect, Airflow), DBMS (Postgres, DuckDB) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure)

  • Experience with in-process, single-node SQL OLAP query engines: DuckDB, Polars, Arrow
  • Experience with geospatial libraries: GEOS, GDAL, PyPROJ
  • Experience with data bakehouses (DeltaLake, Iceberg, DuckLake)
