ABOUT US:
bswift is a leading benefits administration company that specializes in providing tailored solutions for our clients. Our mission is to simplify the complex world of employee benefits and deliver exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for a talented and experienced individual to join our team as a Software Engineer.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining bswift products using React/Typescript, generative AI products as well as supporting API endpoints. You will work closely with our product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and then translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution. You will also be responsible for debugging and resolving technical problems that arise.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

· Developing clean, maintainable, and efficient front-end code using React and TypeScript.
· Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement user-facing features.
· Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement.
· Translating UI/UX designs into responsive and accessible interfaces.
· Integrating with RESTful APIs and backend services.
· Staying current with front-end trends and best practices.
· Participating in agile development processes including sprint planning and retrospectives.
· Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code meets reliability, maintainability, security, and accessibility standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
· Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent relevant work experience.
· 2-3 years of professional experience in front-end development with React.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Understanding of responsive design and accessibility standards.
· Proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
· Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and ticketing tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
· Experience working with Git for version control
· Writing unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability and maintainability.
NICE TO HAVE:
· Familiarity with performance optimization.
· Interest in AI/ML technologies and integrating front-end components with APIs is a plus.
· Exposure to LangChain, RAG patterns, or other AI-related technologies.
· Exposure to using AI developer tool assists (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) and AI agentic frameworks (e.g. ClaudeCode)

Specific benefit offerings vary by position and may be subject to change.
Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description.
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
