About the Role:
The Post Submit Experience team creates a world class experience for our customers when a cross border money transfer is submitted. It comprises transfer tracking, in flight transfer amendments and transfer status including receipts and exception handling. The team will have full stack capabilities building UX and backend services.. As an SDE II on this full-stack team reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will solve technical challenges to improve the experience of sending money around the world, partnering with several teams across the company.

You Will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable, high-quality software solutions.

  • Design and implement responsive user interfaces that enhance usability and deliver a seamless user experience for internal and external Remitly Customers.

  • Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and complex problems using multiple full stack technologies (TypeScript, React, Java/Kotlin, Go)

  • Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with team members to maintain code quality and standards.

  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to ensure the reliability and performance of our application.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development for web/native applications.

  • Professional experience with one of the following programming languages: TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, Go.

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming concepts

  • Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $136,000 - $170,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
