Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Software Developer to work for our company.

Summary:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies) 
  • Will design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions that align with business objectives and security best practices.

Requirements: 

  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies) 
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development and engineering roles.
  • 4+ years of experience with DevSecOps methodologies to integrate security at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
  • Must have deep experience with Java.
  • Must be proficient in multiple programming languages such as Python, C#, and JavaScript.
  • Must have experience with DevSecOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
  • Must have strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Must have previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Must be proficient with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Must have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. 
  • Must have previous experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Must stay up to date with emerging industry trends, tools, and technologies.
  • Must have previous experience ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and cybersecurity standards.
  • Must be able to obtain an AWS or Azure Professional Certification within 6 months.
  • Some travel may be required (10%-25%) if located outside of the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland area. 

Preferences: 

  • A master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the federal contracting space.
  • Previous experience writing white papers or other technical writing experience.
  • An AWS or Azure Professional Certification.
  • An active secret clearance.
  • Located within the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.
