Software Developer in Test (SDET)

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) is responsible for developing software, frameworks, and automation tools to enable the teams to have end-to-end confidence of their applications. Understands coding best practices and patterns and has the capability to automate manual processes to drive quality. Responsible for evaluating requirements and complex problems to redefine them, re-scope them, and transform them into simple solutions. This role enhances the technical agility of Club Labs new product lines.
Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain thousands of automated tests. Prototype innovative new solutions and create frameworks that support different teams in delivering high-quality products to our members. Work directly with the product development team, product owner, and product manager to understand product vision, strategy, key metrics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Write test scenarios and test cases.

  • Collaborate with team members on the design and implementation of new functionalities on the different platforms. Consult with other team members and implements solutions in-line with the departments’ visions.

  • Continuously learn and keep up to date with emerging technologies to evaluate impact to business and member value.

  • Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, iteration, and retrospectives).

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Computer and Information Science Preferred

  • 1-3 years Software development with fundamental experience with object-oriented principles, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis. Required

  • Create automation frameworks to drive quality and improve speed of deployment.

  • Assesses and understands the flow of code and its interaction with various processes.

  • Documents processes and client demands for process improvement.

  • Logs, manages, and tracks user issues and cases.

  • Troubleshoots bugs and other issues on mobile, desktop, and web-based platforms.

  • Tests automation builds, execution, and script troubleshooting

Scope

  • Work is accomplished with moderate supervision. Follows established and detailed directions. Work is reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy.

  • Provides resolution to an assortment of problems that are typically well defined, but some clarification or judgment is required to determine action, as additional information about the problem/task is discovered. Uses judgment within defined practices/procedures to determine appropriate action. Problem/Task resolution timeframe: Inclusive of shorter timeframes, but the majority of tasks take up to several weeks to resolve.

  • Under general supervision, proceeds alone for regular duties, referring questionable cases to supervisor.

  • Individual Contributor

  • Failure to achieve results or erroneous judgments may require the allocation of additional resources to correct and/or achieve goals.

  • Contacts are primarily within the department or function with occasional cross-functional interfaces. Some limited external customer contact on routine matters.


The starting pay range for this position is:

$117,600.00 - $156,400.00

Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
