Job Summary
Highly skilled Senior Developer with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. Expertise in complex solutions involving user interfaces, application programming interfaces, databases, and integrations with existing legacy systems through a variety of protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement highly scalable enterprise applications and APIs.
- Work within an advanced Cloud environment, while sometimes leveraging critical data in older systems that are running on premise.
- Develop and integrate back-end web services.
- Understand and architect solutions involving cloud-based infrastructure including databases, batches, distributed processing engines, messaging platforms, in-memory caching, and web-services run time environments.
- Integrate third-party APIs, including those provided by partners, and Google Cloud services.
- Support development of solutions that facilitate efficient testing and operations, by collaborating with our QA Team and System Reliability Engineers.
- Lead and influence code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
- Develop unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
- Help build and enhance robust, architecturally significant components and pipelines and evangelize their use throughout the rest of the development team.
Qualifications
- Experience in developing scalable, distributed, and multithreaded enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of multiple high-level languages, including Golang, which is our primary language for back-end application development.
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux shells, scripting.
- Knowledge of API methodologies and protocols such as HTTP ReST and gRPC.
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Git, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines, and JIRA.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodology is a plus.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
