We are currently looking for a Software Architect to join our Development Team.  This position will be 100% remote work, working with the developer team located in Tucson, Arizona. Periodic travel may be required for PI Planning, architecture workshops, and team collaboration events.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and will not now or in the future require sponsorship for employment visa.

What we’re looking for

We are seeking an experienced Software Architect with DevOps/AI/LLM experience to help drive the future evolution of the ReliaSoft product portfolio, including our cloud-native ReliaSoft Cloud SaaS platform and our established enterprise desktop applications.

This role combines technical architecture leadership with hands-on collaboration around cloud infrastructure, DevOps, automation, scalability, and emerging AI/LLM technologies. The ideal candidate enjoys working across teams to modernize software platforms, improve engineering efficiency, and help define the next generation of intelligent engineering solutions.

You will work closely with R&D leadership, Product Owners, developers, QA, Infrastructure IT, and security teams to help guide architecture decisions, operational improvements, and AI-enabled development initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Software Architecture

  • Define and guide architectural direction for ReliaSoft Cloud and ReliaSoft desktop products
  • Assist teams with scalable, maintainable, and secure software design decisions
  • Help modernize legacy systems and support cloud-native development initiatives
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability
  • Support API strategy and integration initiatives across the product suite
  • Mentor developers and promote modern engineering best practices

DevOps & Platform Engineering

  • Define and guide architectural direction for ReliaSoft Cloud and ReliaSoft desktop products
  • Assist teams with scalable, maintainable, and secure software design decisions
  • Help modernize legacy systems and support cloud-native development initiatives
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability
  • Support API strategy and integration initiatives across the product suite
  • Mentor developers and promote modern engineering best practices

AI / LLM Enablement

  • Help define and implement the organization’s strategy around AI-assisted development and LLM integration
  • Evaluate and integrate AI technologies into engineering workflows and future product capabilities
  • Support development of intelligent features and AI-driven engineering solutions within ReliaSoft Cloud
  • Assist with architecture and infrastructure planning for AI-enabled services and APIs
  • Promote secure and practical adoption of AI technologies within the software development lifecycle
  • Explore opportunities for AI-assisted coding, testing, documentation, analytics, and customer workflow

Security & Quality

  • Support secure software development lifecycle initiatives
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews focused on security, scalability, and resiliency
  • Assist with dependency management, vulnerability remediation, and operational hardening
  • Help improve automation and quality practices across the development lifecycle

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience in software architecture, technical leadership, or senior engineering roles
  • Experience with cloud-based SaaS platforms and modern application architectures
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
  • Experience evaluating or implementing AI/LLM technologies within software solutions or development workflows
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working within Agile development environments

Software & Architecture

  • .NET / C#

  • REST APIs and service integrations

  • Desktop application development and modernization
  • Authentication and identity management platforms

Cloud & DevOps

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Monitoring and observability platforms (Grafana, logging, metrics)

AI / LLM Technologies

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI-assisted development tools
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering, embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Experience integrating AI services or APIs into enterprise applications
  • Understanding of AI security, governance, and operational considerations
  • Interest in applying AI to engineering workflows and customer-facing features

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $100K to $130K annually plus 10% bonus. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as physical work location within the state
