JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports is looking for a temporary Social Video Freelancer to support real-time social coverage of the FIFA World Cup. The Social Video Freelancer will work closely with our video team to create high-quality, fast-turnaround video content across FOX Sports social platforms during one of the biggest global sporting events in the world.

This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role built for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, has strong social media instincts, and is comfortable working nontraditional hours.

Hours will vary significantly due to the FIFA World Cup schedule.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create high-quality, creative social-first video content in real time during live matches, studio shows, and breaking moments
  • Edit and package content quickly for platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels
  • Experiment with new formats and tools, including emerging AI-assisted video workflows
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
     

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Flexibility and reliability are essential
  • Openness to learning and experimenting with new creative technologies is more important than deep prior expertise
  • Willingness to adapt as workflows evolve during the tournament
  • Experience editing short-form social video (vertical video) in Adobe Premiere
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and what performs well on each
  • Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or editorial judgment
  • Comfortable taking direction, feedback, and adjusting on the fly
  • Thrives in fast-paced, live-event environments
  • Strong taste and instincts for what works on social
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable with real-time decision-making
  • Passionate about soccer and global sports culture
     

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience with AI-assisted video tools
  • Experience with After Effects
  • Photoshop experience
  • Strong soccer knowledge and familiarity with the global game

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $32.21-35.00 per hour.
