We’re looking for a seasoned, hands-on Social Strategy & Content Senior Manager to take Motive’s social media presence to the next level through creative storytelling and highly engaging content. This role reports to the Director of Content & Customer Marketing and plays a pivotal part in growing and elevating Motive’s brand across key social platforms.
The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker with deep experience developing and executing high-impact social strategies. You have a strong track record of building brand voice, telling compelling stories, and driving engagement across digital channels. You’re equal parts creative leader and operational executor, with a sharp eye on cultural trends, social-first storytelling, and performance metrics.
You’ll own our social content end to end—from concept to creation to publishing to reporting—and ensure it’s optimized to drive meaningful engagement with customers, prospects, and the broader industry.
What You'll DoStrategy, Content & Storytelling- Own the creation and execution of content across Motive’s social channels—LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok—including both static and video formats.
- Transform our channels into go-to destinations for Motive customers, prospects, and industry followers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that align with business objectives, including the creation of content calendars, integrated campaign roadmaps, and platform-specific approaches.
- Define and maintain a clear brand voice across platforms, crafting stories that resonate with our target audiences.
- Build and document a social media playbook and SOPs to guide channel strategy, community engagement, brand collaborations, and performance standards.
- Partner closely with growth marketing to align organic and paid efforts—maximizing efficiency and consistency across all social touchpoints.
- Establish and track KPIs to measure channel growth, content performance, engagement, and overall business impact.
- Leverage Sprout Social and native platform analytics to extract insights, identify trends, and inform strategy.
- Translate performance data into clear, actionable recommendations to optimize future content and campaigns.
- Stay ahead of emerging platform trends, content formats, and algorithm updates to keep Motive’s social presence fresh and innovative.
- 7–10 years of experience managing social media for B2B brands—ideally in industries like hardware, software, IoT, or logistics.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
- Proven expertise leading social strategy across organic, paid, and earned/influencer channels.
- A deep understanding of platform best practices, algorithms, and social-first storytelling techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale brand voice and community engagement across platforms.
- Strong grasp of paid social strategy, ad formats, and performance metrics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills—you know how to influence, align, and drive decisions across functions and levels.
- Hands-on experience with social listening and analytics tools, especially Sprout Social.
- Ability to effectively manage stakeholders and drive alignment on strategic priorities.
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range. For this role, the compensation ranges are:
