Omniscient Digital is an organic growth agency that partners with ambitious B2B SaaS companies like SAP, Adobe, Loom, and Hotjar to turn SEO and content into growth engines.

About This Role

We’re hiring a US-based content writer to create long-form content for a B2B SaaS client. This is a freelance position where you’ll work with our editorial team to produce well-researched, engaging, and SEO-optimized content that resonates with professional audiences.

If you have a deep understanding of social media marketing trends and love writing about digital strategy, social platforms, and marketing technology, we’d love to hear from you. The application passcode is social savvy.

Please note that we do not work with writers who subcontract their work.

Responsibilities

  • Write high-quality, long-form content across a variety of B2B, SaaS, and social media marketing topics.

  • Conduct thorough research to understand client products, target audiences, and industry context, ensuring content is in-depth and insightful.

  • Use our internal briefs to structure and outline articles clearly and effectively. While our briefs provide direction, you’ll bring clarity, logic, and structure to each piece.

  • Incorporate keywords and SEO best practices without compromising readability or quality, balancing search optimization with a natural, audience-first writing style.

  • Cite credible sources, stats, and examples to support arguments and enhance credibility.

  • Adapt your writing style to match the voice and tone of different client brands, ensuring content feels authentic and aligned with brand messaging.

  • Work closely with editors to revise and refine content based on feedback. You’re open to collaboration and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Consistently meet deadlines and communicate proactively with the editorial lead regarding progress, questions, or blockers.

Who You Are

  • Knowledgeable about social media marketing trends, platforms, and best practices, with a strong understanding of what drives success in today’s market.

  • A strong writer with 2–3 years of experience creating content for marketing, SEO, or B2B brands, particularly in the social media marketing or SaaS space.

  • Skilled at simplifying complex topics into clear, engaging, and actionable content.

  • Familiar with SEO fundamentals and comfortable writing with both readers and search engines in mind.

  • Able to write for different audience types, from social media managers to business decision-makers, adjusting tone and structure accordingly.

  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable. You can manage your workload, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.

  • Open to feedback and enjoy collaboration, seeing revisions as an opportunity for growth.

  • Passionate about creating truly valuable content that informs, engages, and inspires.

  • A degree in journalism, marketing, creative writing, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Portfolio Requirement

Please submit 3–5 samples of written content. At least 2 samples should focus on social media marketing topics or B2B. Older samples are fine if paired with more recent work.

We read every application and aim to get back to you within a few weeks of submission. Response times may vary depending on the time of year, number of applicants, and other factors. If we’re interested in moving forward with your application, we’ll likely reach out sooner via email.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
