Social Media Marketing Specialist

This position is responsible for developing a social media calendar that manages and grows customer acquisition and customer loyalty across ACE through a strong and consistent social media presence. Work cross-functionally to create campaigns that increase reach and raise awareness of our products and services. Monitor and triage social media comments and messages to retain and win back customers and build a positive online community. Create high levels of satisfaction among users on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Support eBusiness team with other digital marketing initiatives as required.
Job Duties

  • Post creation and execution: Create consistent presence on social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter across ACE to support member benefits, advocacy initiatives, and employee retention and recruiting efforts. Ensure strong reach and engagement with every post, this requires but is not limited to writing copy, sourcing assets, tagging partners, and using appropriate hashtags. Vet and approve posts submitted through Khoros.

  • Customer care: Serve as a member service liaison to the online communities. Respond to and resolve questions and comments and escalate member issues to appropriate departments for resolution. Respond in a timely manner. Notify Public Affairs team of any negative comments/feedback that have a high risk of going viral and apply sound judgement.

  • Analytics and reporting: Research and analyze data relating to all social media activity across all social networking channels and report results. Evaluate performance and recommend changes based on analysis findings to improve business results. Monitor competitor activity in online communities, and present competitive analyses to management team.

  • Content curation and planning: Populate and manage content calendar in a thoughtful manner, aligning messaging across regions and LOBs and with the overall social media strategy. Pre-plan content and collect approvals (i.e., storyboards, creative briefs). Set and meet deadlines.

  • Reputation management and online listings: Support branch marketing by updating Google online listings as needed.

  • Continued education: Research and stay up to date on social media algorithms that affect best practices for posting to social media channels. Utilize industry research to monitor trends and best practices in social media. Report/apply learnings and make recommendations.

  • Cross-functional partnership: Collaborate cross-functionally to develop marketing/communications campaigns across ACE. Identify appropriate social media channels for business needs and tailor campaigns to target audiences.

  • Executive communication: Produce campaign decks, result reporting and other recaps/reports as needed for executive communication in collaboration with manager.

  • Stay up to date on internal guidelines: Monitor strict use of social media policies and guidelines, including escalation procedures, by users/contributors and recommend any changes to said guidelines on an ongoing basis. Recognize regulations that govern the AAA federation’s participation in social media and ensure solutions are compliant. Understand and apply government regulations governing social media and ensure organization maintains the highest standards of compliance with advertising regulations, copyright, and privacy.

  • This position makes decisions that support the business strategy and requires an advanced level of problem-solving skills. Requires the ability to evaluate data, develop and implement social media communication plans accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Marketing Preferred

  • 1-3 years Brand advertising, digital/interactive advertising, or social media marketing. Preferred

  • Advanced writing and editing skills, with special emphasis on social media content with understanding of how to optimize content for online consumption.

  • Advanced analytics and research skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).

  • Skill in managing profiles and accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, as well as Pinterest, TikTok and other emerging social media platforms.

  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to prioritize workload, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and meet demanding deadlines.

  • Capacity to find creative, innovative solutions for simple or complex problems.

  • Familiarity with blog monitoring/listening tools.

  • Familiarity with project management tools.

Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel to off-site business meetings or conferences. (5% proficiency)

The starting pay range for this position is:

$60,000.00 - $80,100.00
