Social Media Marketing Intern - Hybrid

This is a part-time internship (20 hours/week) with a hybrid schedule. You must live within driving distance of our Costa Mesa, CA office to attend in-person meetings and team sessions.

ClubLabs is a rapidly growing technology and design shop in Los Angeles, CA. We are the digital acceleration team for Auto Club Enterprises (ACE), also known as AAA — we are the proving ground for ideas that exceed our members' expectations. We’re a team of engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers within AAA delivering maximum value to our members and business for a smarter future.

This role reports directly into the Social Media & Advocacy team. As a Social Media Marketing intern, you’ll take on a unique opportunity to support an innovative and highly visible effort at ACE to reach Millennial and Gen Z audiences via social media. You’ll be trained in strategy development, proposal writing, content calendar management, competitive research, and reporting. We are looking for someone with infinite curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to welcome new challenges!

Responsibilities:

Instagram Stories

  • Develop repeatable and brand-aligned concepts for Instagram Stories into a content calendar.

  • Work with Social Media Marketing Specialist to create a proposal for an Instagram Stories program.

  • Execute Instagram Stories program, report results, and iterate on learnings.

TikTok

  • Intake data on best/worst performing content on TikTok for Auto Club Enterprises, competitors, and other AAA clubs.

  • Work with Social Media Marketing Specialist to ideate/develop a strategy around cadence and workflow for content creation.

  • Develop sample monthly content calendar.

  • Write an SOP for TikTok content creation.

Additional responsibilities as needed:

  • Conduct SEO audits for social media.

  • Assist with one-off social media posts.

  • Conduct competitor analyses.

  • Participate in creative brainstorms.

  • Support other social media content creation as needed.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to craft a proposal for leadership that garners buy-in.

  • How to gather and effectively organize social media insights.

  • How to develop a content calendar, program guide, and SOP document.

  • How to make and communicate data-driven recommendations.

The pay rate for this position is $30/hour.
