Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. We’re Airtasker, the tech company that connects people who need to get things done with those who have the skills to do it.

Our mission is to empower people to realize the full value of their skills. This doesn’t just apply to those who use our product. It’s also for our whole team of go-getters who bring the product to life and deliver impact to our community on a daily basis. Because we believe work (and life) is always better when you truly know and appreciate your strengths and skills.

We're looking for a creative, high-energy social leader to own our US Social Media and Brand Partnerships strategy. You’ll grow our audience, drive engagement, and make Airtasker culturally relevant across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.

This role is all about bold ideas and real impact: you’ll create scroll-stopping content, engage our community, and build partnerships with Creators, Influencers, and Brands that amplify our voice. You’ll work closely with our US GM and Brand Marketing/PR to ensure every campaign delivers measurable results.

We want someone who lives and breathes social trends, experiments fearlessly, and can turn insights into on-brand, high-impact campaigns. If you’re scrappy, hands-on, collaborative, and love mixing creativity with results, this is your chance to shape Airtasker’s US presence from the ground up.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week in our West Hollywood office. The annual salary is $90,000-$110,000.

Your Three Pillars of Impact

1. Social Strategy & Direction
You’ll own Airtasker’s US social media strategy, shaping content, narratives, and channel roles that drive brand relevance and business impact. Partnering with the US GM and Brand Marketing/PR, you’ll align social with launches, PR moments, partnerships, and broader campaigns. You’ll spot opportunities, test new platforms and formats, and always be thinking about how to grow our reach and engagement.

2. Content & Community Management
You’ll run the day-to-day social engin, from content creation and publishing to optimization and community engagement. You’ll keep our brand voice consistent and lively, respond to our audience in real time, and turn campaigns, partnerships, and key brand moments into compelling social stories. Staying ahead of trends, algorithms, and cultural moments is part of your secret sauce.

3. Creators & Brand Partners
You’ll lead creator, influencer, and brand partnerships that amplify our reach and spark conversation. From identification and negotiation to campaign execution, you’ll manage relationships and deliverables, integrating collaborations into broader marketing initiatives. You’ll track performance, report insights, and optimize everything to ensure social and partnerships deliver real, measurable impact.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • 5-7 years experience in social media, inclusive of experience managing creator and brand partnerships, with demonstrated growth in engagement, audience, or brand impact.
  • Proven experience developing and executing social strategies across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong hands-on content creation skills, including short-form video, copywriting, and platform-native formats.
  • Experience working with Creators, Influencers, and Brand partners, including outreach, relationship management, and partnership execution.
  • Comfort negotiating scopes, deliverables, and partnership terms.
  • Solid understanding of social and partnership performance metrics, reporting, and analytics, with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Experience managing editorial calendars, content pipelines, and concurrent campaigns.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong grasp of brand voice and tone.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, PR, and other partners.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
