Your Role

As Social Media Manager at Sentient, you will own how we show up online. From X to LinkedIn (and new platforms we’ll experiment with), you’ll translate our product vision into sharp, engaging content that resonates with the crypto community. This is a hands-on role where you’ll draft posts, create scrappy visuals, track trends, and make sure Sentient is present in the conversations that matter.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead Sentient’s presence on X and LinkedIn: from drafting and scheduling posts to shaping narrative strategy.

  • Translate product updates and roadmap milestones into content that educates, engages, and excites our audience.

  • Stay deeply plugged into crypto narratives, spot trends early and find natural, authentic ways for Sentient to join the conversation.

  • Create and source visuals to complement posts (memes, GIFs, short videos), either yourself or in coordination with design partners.

  • Write occasional blog posts and longer-form content to support product launches and announcements.

  • Establish a consistent, credible, and engaging voice across channels, while experimenting with new platforms (Farcaster, TikTok, AI-native formats, UGC campaigns).

  • Track performance, analyze what works, and iterate based on data to grow reach and engagement.

What You’ll Need
  • Crypto-native: you live on X/crypto Twitter, understand how narratives move, and can anticipate what will land.

  • Excellent copywriting skills, able to shift between sharp, approachable, and witty without losing credibility.

  • Demonstrated experience managing and growing X and LinkedIn accounts (bonus if you’ve built a crypto account from scratch).

  • Comfort working with creative assets: making memes, simple visuals, GIFs, or coordinating with agencies/freelancers for content support.

  • A mix of strategic awareness (brand voice, campaign timing) and day-to-day execution (posting, engaging, iterating).

  • Data-driven instincts: you know how to measure impact, not just post for vibes.

  • Bonus: experience in DeFi, L1/L2 ecosystems, AI-driven projects, or KOL/influencer collaborations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
