Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will be a key player on our social team, responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies for our entertainment industry clients.

This role focuses on strategic social media management, data-driven optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional results for some of the world's leading entertainment brands, and will be partially dedicated to an exciting new AOR.

The Social Media Manager will oversee social media operations, develop platform-specific strategies, and drive measurable engagement across all current and emerging social platforms. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on social media management to ensure our clients' social presence aligns with their broader marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead social media strategy development and execution for multiple entertainment clients
  • Develop and implement platform-specific strategies for Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, and Reddit that maximize native engagement and leverage each platform's unique features
  • Create comprehensive performance reports tracking key metrics including engagement rates, reach/impressions, video views, and community growth
  • Provide strategic recommendations and optimization plans based on performance data and industry benchmarks
  • Monitor and analyze cultural trends, breaking news, and platform updates to inform content strategy and identify opportunities
  • Oversee and manage client social media accounts, ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategies and objectives
  • Serve as the social point of contact for daily client communications, creating and implementing internal and external solutions as needed
  • Create and manage editorial calendars that support brand and campaign initiatives
  • Execute content publishing across social platforms, maintaining consistent brand voice and engagement standards
  • Present strategies and performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage and work alongside Strategy Coordinators to ensure seamless content scheduling and publication

Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience in social media management and digital marketing
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful social media strategies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in social media metrics and reporting
  • Demonstrated expertise across major social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Reddit)
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools (Sprout, Sprinklr, Meta Business Suite)
  • Excellence in project management and meeting deadlines
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience presenting to clients and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to build and grow social media audiences
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices and platform-specific requirements

Location and Salary
This is a full-time, exempt role with a salary range of $75,000-$105,000, depending on experience. This role is based in Los Angeles, CA. There will be occasions when in-office presence, at either our Echo Park HQ or a client’s office, is required based on the needs of specific accounts. We will do our best to accommodate scheduling and still provide you with your “flex days.”

Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate, health insurance, 401(k), generous vacation, and opportunities for growth within the company.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
