What we do:
Halcyon is the industry’s first dedicated, adaptive security platform that combines multiple proprietary advanced prevention engines along with AI models focused specifically on stopping ransomware.
Who we are:
Halcyon was formed in 2021 by a team of cyber industry veterans after battling the scourge of ransomware (and advanced threats) for years at some of the largest global security vendors. Comprised of leaders from Cylance (now Blackberry), Accuvant (now Optiv), Fireye and ISS X-Force (now IBM), Halcyon is focused on building products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers.
As a remote-native, completely distributed global team, we recognize great talent can exist anywhere. We invite you to apply to a job you’re interested in and we'll work a plan to meet your needs.
The Role:
We’re looking for a strategic and creative Social Media Marketing Manager to elevate our voice in the cybersecurity space. In this role, you'll lead social strategy and execution across platforms to engage technical and executive audiences, amplify thought leadership, promote key initiatives, and support both brand awareness and pipeline growth. You’ll shape how we show up in conversations about security innovation, cyber threats, and industry leadership—while positioning our brand as a trusted voice in the security community.
This is an ideal role for a storyteller who understands B2B social strategy, can speak to technical audiences, and thrives in a fast-moving market.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Strategy & Planning
- Own and evolve our organic social media strategy across platforms (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, and others as relevant).
- Build an integrated calendar aligned with product launches, campaigns, events (e.g., RSA, Black Hat), and industry trends.
Content Creation & Management
- Write, curate, and publish high-impact, audience-relevant content including thought leadership, product updates, security alerts, threat commentary, and partner news.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, product marketing, and content teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
Audience Engagement
- Monitor and engage with CISOs, security analysts, influencers, and media in real-time—elevating our brand in the anti-ransomware conversation.
- Identify and activate employee and executive advocacy opportunities to expand reach and credibility.
Analytics & Optimization
- Track key performance metrics (engagement, followers, traffic, influence on pipeline), report results, and use insights to refine strategy.
- Stay up to date on platform changes, algorithm updates, and cybersecurity trends to adjust tactics proactively.
Paid Social Support
- Partner with demand generation and digital teams to extend reach via paid social campaigns, retargeting, and dark posts.
- Test copy and creative formats to drive lead capture and campaign performance.
Experience:
- Familiarity with major industry events (RSA, Black Hat) and security publication cycles.
- Experience working closely with PR, content marketing, and field marketing teams.
- Comfortable in high-growth, high-urgency environments.
- A creative and strategic thinker with excellent written and interpersonal skills.
- Highly collaborative, energetic, and a proactive team player.
- Focused on marketing metrics and continuous learning/improvement.
Qualifications:
- 4–6 years of experience in B2B social media marketing, ideally in cybersecurity, enterprise tech, or SaaS.
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn and X/Twitter for technical and executive engagement; familiarity with YouTube, Reddit, and security community platforms is a plus.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to translate technical topics into clear, engaging content.
- Experience using social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer) and analytics platforms.
- Understanding of cybersecurity personas (CISO, SOC, security analysts) and the broader security landscape.
- Proven ability to balance creativity, brand voice, and data-driven decision-making.
Benefits:
Halcyon offers the following benefits to eligible employees:
Comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents.
401k plan with a generous employer contribution.
Short and long-term disability coverage, basic life and AD&D insurance plans.
