About Us

We are customer-obsessed to an unusual degree. When we had a major network outage, everyone, including recruiters, engineers, and marketers, got on the phone with customers. That’s not a policy. It’s just who we are.

What keeps us going is what we hear from our Community. Families tell us they used to wake up every morning with a knot in their stomach. They don’t anymore. They tell us our product changed their relationship with their parents, from anxious and fearful to present and connected. It’s genuinely important work, and we don’t take it lightly.

If that’s the kind of problem you want to spend the next few years on, one with real scale, real mission, real momentum, and a real Community of people behind it, we’d love to talk.

What we’re building

Aging in America is broken. Seniors are isolated. Their families are anxious in ways that go far beyond “I hope Mom’s alright.”

There are 55 million Americans over 65 living at home. Most of them, and most of their families, are navigating this alone. Community Phone is fixing that. We built a phone so simple it works out of the box, wrapped it with AI-powered check-in calls, and built a family app that turns daily dread into peace of mind.

It’s working. We’re well into 8-figure subscription ARR pacing to 9-figure, with 30,000+ families trusting us with something that matters deeply. We are called Community Phone for a reason, and that Community is real, warm, and growing. We’re now looking for the person who turns that quiet loyalty into a movement.

What you’ll own

You own our organic social presence — building a brand's organic engine from the inside out, not chasing a follower count.

  • Build our organic social. Own Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit end-to-end: content, voice, cadence, growth. You make it, ship it, and learn from the numbers — no waiting on a designer or a UGC team.
  • Immerse us where our people are. Our customers and their families live in Facebook groups and on Reddit around caregiving and senior safety. You show up authentically, become a trusted voice, and turn those communities into places where people discover and recommend us.
  • Turn engagement into signups. Connect great content to real customers. Know how organic reinforces our campaigns and feeds our funnel.
  • Own the strategy. Bring proven opinions on how communities grow — who these customers are, what makes them fall in love, and how we make that spread.
What we’re looking for
  • A proven track record of building organic social — for a brand, for yourself, or both. This is the core requirement: not a follower count, but a system that drove real engagement, awareness, and growth. If you're a creator with your own following, even better.
  • Not a vanity-metrics person. You've built organic that drives revenue, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Excited about our demographic. Energized by building community among people 45+, caregivers, and adult children — and you can explain why things spread among people who aren't on TikTok all day.
  • A relentless engine who does a remarkable amount of work and doesn't get blocked.
  • A strong writer who can turn our product into a message a 65-year-old's daughter feels and forwards.
  • Hands-on design sense to make your content look good solo.
  • Analytical — you set goals, live in the numbers, and cut what isn't working.

Nice to have: influencer or creator partnerships; experience marketing to older adults or caregivers.

How we’ll know it’s working

  • Our following and engagement rates climb month over month.
  • Organic becomes a visible, measurable source of signups.
  • Word-of-mouth becomes something we can see, not just hope for.
  • Online communities, esp. on Facebook, come to life.
Compensation and logistics
  • $85,000–$105,000 base, plus equity. 401(k) and health insurance included if US-based.
  • Remote-first. About 120 people across 15 countries. 3–4 in-person offsite per year.
  • Backed by Y Combinator, YC Continuity, SNR.vc, and other top-tier investors.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
