When We All Vote seeks a Social Media Manager to support When We All Vote’s overall social media content strategy and execution across platforms through the 2026 election cycle. The candidate must have previous experience developing written and video content for digital programs, collaborating with partners and talent, and managing digital strategy, preferably in the nonprofit and/or political advocacy space. Successful candidates will be a self-starter and have a positive and professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. 

This is a full-time, temporary position concluding December 15, 2026.

When We All Vote is a national, nonpartisan initiative on a mission to increase participation in every election, close the race and age voting gaps, and change the culture around voting. Founded in 2018, When We All Vote works at the intersection of voting and culture to meet communities where they are to turn civic engagement into an everyday norm. YOUR IMPACT

  • Support the overall social media strategy of When We All Vote and our Party at the Polls program, including creating and developing original content ideas.
  • Manage and execute the creation of social media toolkits for partners, talent, and big campaign moments.
  • Develop content for When We All Vote across social platforms, including content drafting, coordinating with design and video teams, scheduling, and posting.
  • Lead community management (i.e., engagement, comments and reposts).
  • Support on the execution of communications and culture moments.
  • Analyze digital metrics and make recommendations to inform When We All Vote’s social strategy and content, especially for Party at the Polls.
  • Support video content strategy for When We All Vote, including scripting, filming, video direction, and editing.
  • Support rapid response content as assigned.
  • Other reasonable and related duties as assigned.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in nonprofit and/or political environments, including internships.
  • 2+ years of experience working in communications and social media.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite. 
  • Prior experience with programs like Sprout, Canva, CapCut, and TikTok.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

  • A strong commitment to When We All Vote’s mission and passionate about civic engagement, social justice, and the role of digital engagement in each of those spaces.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging social media platforms, especially video-first platforms like TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing multiple projects on tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in reporting and analyzing social media metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Superior attention to detail. 
  • Excellent writing, research, copy-editing, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortability in independent project work and frequent fluctuations in workload.
  • An ability to make decisions and solve problems independently, collaboratively, effectively, and creatively.
  • Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from diverse backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The salary range for this position is $73,000-78,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Our comprehensive benefits plan includes 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance for employees, flexible paid time off, paid family & medical leave, access to a 401k plan, and more.

Additionally, given the short-term nature of this program, successful candidates will receive continued health insurance coverage beyond the program end date as part of our commitment to supporting team members. We are pleased to offer this transitional support as part of this meaningful opportunity.
