The Social Media Manager will create and publish AI-generated video content on TikTok and Instagram, manage accounts, and monitor performance metrics.
Vocal Media builds AI-generated accounts that people actually stop to watch. Not novelty, not filler. Accounts with a point of view, a look, and a story that pulls people back post after post, across reproductive health, climate, finance, politics, and culture.
We're looking for AI Social Media Managers who can build those accounts from the ground up and run them. This is a creator role and a manager role in one. You'll invent branded accounts and bring them to life — the concept, the visual identity, the voice, the world, and the video itself — then run them day to day, posting at volume, reading the numbers, and evolving the account so it keeps growing. If you're already making AI video and you think like a storyteller and a designer, not just a poster, this is for you.
This is a contract position for 10-12 hours per week. All candidates must be based in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Create original branded accounts from concept to launch: the idea, the name, the voice, the visual world, and the characters that live in it
- Develop a distinct look and a narrative through-line that makes each account instantly recognizable
- Turn culture, news, and politics into content people want to share, not just scroll past
- Produce AI-generated short-form vertical video end to end, from idea to script to final cut
- Work fluently across GenAI tools like Higgsfield, HeyGen, Seedance, ElevenLabs, and CapCut
- Write captions and hooks that match the account's voice and earn the watch
- Hold a high, consistent posting volume without letting quality slip, around 7 to 10 posts per week per account
- Own day-to-day publishing across your accounts with a steady, reliable cadence
- Read performance closely and iterate on formats, hooks, prompts, and posting strategy
- Stay ahead of new AI tools, trends, and algorithm shifts so your content stays sharp and current
- Join one weekly check-in with content leadership
- Trade ideas and wins with the other Social Media Managers and contribute to strategy discussions

What We Are Looking For
- You're already making AI short-form video and have work to show for it — early-career creators are welcome, but you should be able to point to something you've made
- A real storyteller with a strong design and creative eye. You think in worlds, characters, and narratives, not one-off posts
- Hands-on experience with GenAI video tools, especially Higgsfield, HeyGen, Seedance, ElevenLabs, and CapCut
- Sharp instincts for what performs on TikTok and Instagram Reels, particularly in the AI, tech, and culture space
- An understanding of progressive issues and how AI intersects with politics, social justice, and culture
- Able to run multiple accounts and deadlines on your own in a remote, async environment
- A portfolio or links to the content you've created
What You Will Gain
- Full creative control of the accounts you build — the concept, the world, and the execution are yours to drive, even though the accounts themselves stay with Vocal Media
- The tools are covered: you create across paid GenAI platforms without burning your own credits
- Real reps at real volume — you'll finish knowing you can build and grow an account from zero, and get paid while learning it
- Room to develop your craft across storytelling, design, and AI video production
- A team that lives in this space and moves fast, at the intersection of AI, media, and advocacy
