Role Overview
The Social Media Lead will own the strategic and creative direction of UNREEL and Auto All Stars social channels across all platforms. In this role you will be responsible for developing, executing and managing the social media operations and team on a day-to-day basis. This role will be focusing on developing and implementing clear editorial positioning and content output, creative and distribution strategies. You will be responsible for driving audience growth and maximizing platform and brand revenue. The Social Media Lead will also be responsible for working on client campaigns. The ideal candidate will be highly knowledgeable about the latest trends in the social media landscape and have sound knowledge of social publishing operations.

Strategic Responsibilities
Own and execute the content strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube for all owned channels.
Lead the pivot to an 80/20 model: 80% licensed/curated content with meaningful transformation, 20% original IP tested and scaled.
Set up and maintain project tracking in Asana, ensuring all tasks have owners, deadlines and status updates.
Monitor platform algorithm changes and proactively adapt strategy, particularly Instagram Explore suppression and TikTok FYP eligibility rules affecting unoriginal content.
Set weekly content priorities and brief the team on required outputs.
Deliver weekly performance reports with platform data, growth metrics and strategic recommendations.
Help identify where original formats can be incorporated into client deliverables.
Licensing
Manage content licensing workflows and ensure copyright compliance across all platforms.
Oversee creator partnerships and influencer outreach to support original and hybrid content pipelines.
Team & Collaboration
Set Asana tasks and ensure the team has clear daily, weekly and monthly priorities.
Work closely with the wider team to align on tasks with client deliverables.
Provide direction to editors on style, tone and platform-specific optimisation.
Partner with the team to effectively service clients, ensuring all deliverables meet campaign goals.
Experience and requirements:
Proven experience running and growing social channels, ideally for a media brand, publisher, or content network.
Deep platform knowledge: you understand why certain content gets pushed, throttled, or monetised differently.
Client social media/marketing campaign management experience
Strategic thinker who can balance short-term output with long-term brand building.
Strong communicator with the ability to brief and lead a small team.
Tool experience: Asana, Frame.io, Google suite and Adobe suite
A qualification in Media Production, Communications, Digital Production/Publishing, or related field is not mandatory, but nice to have.

Great time management and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to nuance messaging of complex topics for different audiences.

This role requires a proactive and adaptable approach, with flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours in line with content schedules, major campaigns, or key business priorities
