ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Social Media Engagement Specialist to help shape and grow the online presence of three leading travel brands: African Travel, Lion World Travel and Brendan Vacations.

This newly created role sits within our shared Marketing Studio and is perfect for a creative, digitally savvy marketer who enjoys building communities, creating engaging content and bringing brands to life online. You will play a key role in strengthening our social presence, increasing engagement with our travel advisor community, and turning guest experiences into compelling social content that inspires future travelers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create and manage organic social media content across African Travel, Lion World Travel and Brendan Vacations
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across multiple social channels
  • Engage with travel advisors online and help build a community of active brand advocates
  • Foster meaningful conversations that strengthen relationships and increase brand engagement
  • Source, curate and repurpose user-generated content from guests and travel advisors
  • Turn reviews, photography and travel stories into authentic social proof that supports brand growth
  • Provide graphic design support for templated marketing materials and other light creative requests
  • Manage multiple content priorities while supporting the marketing goals of three distinct brands

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

Essential Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in social media management, community management or content marketing
  • Strong understanding of social media best practices and content creation techniques
  • Experience managing content calendars across multiple brands or business areas
  • Working knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences
  • Strong attention to detail and a good eye for visual consistency
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
  • Collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working with travel, hospitality or lifestyle brands
  • Experience engaging advisor, influencer or advocacy communities
  • Knowledge of user-generated content strategies and community-led marketing
  • Basic graphic design experience beyond templated asset creation
  • Experience using social media management and analytics platforms
