We’re looking for someone who knows what’s trending, loves creating engaging video content, and can capture the personality of our dealership, team, and customers.

This role is all about bringing our brand to life through fun, authentic, entertaining, and engaging content that connects with our audience, showcases our vehicles, and highlights the people who make our dealership special.

Responsibilities

  • Create short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook Reels.
  • Stay on top of trends by incorporating trending sounds, challenges, memes, popular formats, and viral video ideas that fit our brand.
  • Feature our team and staff in fun, creative videos that showcase personalities, behind-the-scenes moments, workplace culture, and daily dealership life.
  • Showcase our vehicles through walkarounds, feature highlights, new arrivals, comparisons, test-drive content, and creative automotive videos.
  • Develop original content ideas that entertain, inform, and engage our audience while keeping our dealership relevant and relatable.
  • Film and edit videos using a smartphone or camera, with engaging transitions, captions, music, and on-screen text.
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content from sales, service, parts, management, and dealership events.
  • Help manage social media content by planning posts, writing captions, selecting hashtags, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule.
  • Engage with our online community by monitoring comments, messages, shares, and audience interactions as assigned.
  • Collaborate with dealership staff to create promotional content, highlight special offers, and support marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor content performance and use views, engagement, shares, and follower growth to improve future content.

Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and/or Facebook.
  • Strong understanding of current social media trends, viral content, and platform best practices.
  • Comfortable filming people, interviewing staff, and directing fun on-camera videos.
  • Creative, energetic, outgoing, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic to advanced video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with different dealership departments.
  • A portfolio of previous social media content is a plus.
  • Automotive or dealership marketing experience is a plus, but not required.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently producing fresh, engaging, and entertaining content.
  • Growing the dealership’s social media reach, engagement, and following.
  • Making our dealership and team recognizable, relatable, and memorable online.
  • Turning creative content into increased brand awareness, customer inquiries, and showroom traffic.
  • Building a recognizable social media personality for Puente Hills Mitsubishi.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just scroll through social media but understands why content goes viral. You enjoy brainstorming ideas, getting people involved on camera, capturing authentic moments, and turning everyday dealership activities into content people actually want to watch.

If you’re creative, social media-savvy, full of ideas, and ready to make content that gets people talking, we’d love to meet you!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
