About Blitzed

Blitzed is a crypto casino built around entertainment, creators and internet culture.
We’re early, funded and moving quickly. Our product is live in beta, and we’re building a brand people want to follow and a community they want to be part of.
We’re looking for someone to own our social media and community.

The Role

We're hiring a full-time Social Media & Community Manager to take ownership of Blitzed’s social presence and day-to-day community engagement.
This is a hands-on role. You'll work directly with senior leadership and our content producer to plan and publish content, build relationships with players and give Blitzed a distinctive voice.
We want someone deeply plugged into crypto, casino and meme culture who can turn that understanding into entertaining content and an active community.

Responsibilities

  • Own Blitzed’s social media and community strategy and execution.
  • Manage our social channels, with an initial focus on X, and our Discord community.
  • Build and maintain a content calendar covering memes, creator clips, player wins, promotions, game releases and product updates.
  • Work with our content producer to develop strong creative assets and repurpose streamer content.
  • Create reactive posts, replies and simple content independently to keep execution fast.
  • Develop a consistent, recognisable brand voice across posts, replies and community conversations.
  • Stay close to relevant trends and participate in conversations with players, creators and industry accounts.
  • Welcome new community members and build relationships with regulars.
  • Develop recurring community activities, stream watch-alongs, events and approved giveaways.
  • Keep profiles, channels, announcements and pinned information accurate and up to date.
  • Manage Discord moderation, bots and permissions.
  • Route player issues to support and bring recurring feedback to the team.
  • Coordinate with our ops, creator and product teams around streams, launches and updates.
  • Track content performance, meaningful engagement, returning community participants and traffic.
  • Test new ideas, learn from results and build repeatable processes around what works.

Requirements
  • Experience managing social media and communities in iGaming, crypto or a closely related gaming business.
  • Deep understanding of crypto, casino, streaming and internet culture.
  • Highly online, with a natural feel for memes, humour and what makes content worth sharing.
  • Strong written English and the ability to write entertaining content without sounding corporate or relying on generic AI copy.
  • Experience building relationships and encouraging participation in online communities.
  • Comfortable with Discord moderation, bots, permissions and social scheduling tools.
  • Able to create basic graphics and edit short-form video when needed.
  • Good judgment when handling public conversations, frustrated players and sensitive issues.
  • Commercially aware and able to look beyond follower counts and message volume.
  • Organised, proactive and accountable for consistent delivery.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving early-stage company.

Benefits
  • 25 days holidays + national holidays
  • Competitive salary + performance bonus
  • Fast-paced team and high ownership
  • Remote-friendly environment
  • Room to grow & progress fast

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
