We are looking for a Freelance Social-First Designer with experience in the Gaming industry to work on a social campaign for Magic: The Gathering. Whether you’ve worked on Magic previously, or you’re just a passionate player and fan, we need your authentic experience, genuine passion for the game, and social-first creativity.
If you are: a social-first designer, creator, craftsperson, internet junkie, conceptual thinker, passionate Gaming fan and player of Magic: The Gathering. Then you’ve found the right place.
We’re looking for someone with the courage to concept breakthrough ideas and the stamina to sell them through. To always come through each round with strong concepts, strong visuals, and strong Creator suggestions that support the strategy and greater goals. To understand the importance of a big idea that can adapt to social channels in unique ways. To be able to execute your ideas with a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Location: Minneapolis or Los Angeles preferred, but open to location

Requirements
- 4+ years of professional design experience
- REQUIRED: Fluency in Gaming and Gaming Culture
- Strong social-first creative portfolio that demonstrates conceptual thinking beyond visual craft; must include examples for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, etc
- Cultural fluency and awareness, interested in social trends and subcultures
- Executional design and production acumen (AI cannot be used for this project)
- Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc
- Direct Magic: The Gathering experience a plus but not required
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy creative environments
- Highly responsible, collaborative and self-motivated
- This is a freelance position
Essential functions include:

Compensation- Role Type: Part-time, Temporary (Up to 20 hours per week).
- Hourly Rate: $75.00 - $90.00 / hour based on experience
- Payroll: This is a W2 position only; all compensation will be processed through space150 payroll.
