Challenge the Status Quo.
Come work with Goodbye Vanilla.

We’re a social-first marketing agency built for how attention actually works today. Not decks. Not buzzwords. Not bloated process. Real social, built to perform in-market.

We partner with brands that expect more than “pretty” content or safe media plans. Our work lives in feeds, moves fast, and is judged by results. If it doesn’t earn attention or drive impact, it doesn’t ship.

We were early to platforms others are still figuring out—and we’re not slowing down. Creators, performance media, and social-native thinking aren’t side projects here. They’re the core.

Now we’re looking for people who want real ownership, real responsibility, and the chance to build something modern—alongside a team that cares deeply about the work and the outcome.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Social Creative Producer is responsible for leading social-first creative direction across client accounts. This role owns voice, tone, and creative vision — and ensures ideas translate into work that actually performs in-feed.

This is not a traditional agency “creative” role. It’s a social-first creative role grounded in performance, iteration, and learning. You’ll shape what gets made, why it gets made, and how creative insights compound over time.

You’ll work closely with Media, Strategy, and Account to turn performance signals into better messaging, stronger concepts, and more durable results.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Creative Direction & Social POV

  • Own voice, tone, and creative direction for paid social across client accounts

  • Pressure-test ideas before they hit the market

  • Ensure creative is platform-native, culturally relevant, and performance-minded

  • Act as the creative counterpart to Media — translating results into better messaging

Creator & Influencer Strategy

  • Lead creative brainstorming and concepting for creator-led and social-native content

  • Identify and collaborate with creators and influencers aligned to brand and performance goals

  • Develop clear creative briefs, messaging frameworks, and guardrails

  • Ensure creator output is optimized for paid social distribution

Creative Production & Iteration

  • Perform light creative editing and fast-turn iterations (hooks, captions, trims, formats)

  • Generate variations quickly based on performance feedback

  • Plan, lead, and execute social-first day shoots — including shooting and editing snackable photo and video content optimized for social platforms (iPhone-native production expected)

  • Maintain creative momentum without sacrificing clarity or quality

AI & Creative Systems

  • Leverage GV’s AI-enabled creative workflows to enhance assets, generate variations, and accelerate iteration

  • Stay ahead of emerging creative and AI tools; test and evaluate continuously

  • Help build and maintain a repeatable creative testing framework

  • Document learnings so insights compound instead of resetting

Organic Social Oversight

  • Provide creative direction and oversight for organic social to ensure alignment with paid social and brand voice

  • Organic execution handled separately; this role owns creative consistency

WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT

This is not a post-production-only or content-management role. It’s a hands-on, social-first creative role built around ownership, iteration, and real-world execution tied to performance.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Creative output becomes more focused, intentional, and performance-driven

  • Stronger messaging leads to improved paid social performance

  • Creative learning compounds month over month

  • Media execution simplifies because creative demand is stronger

  • Clients feel a clear, confident creative POV behind their social presence

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3–7+ years experience in social creative, creator marketing, or performance creative roles

  • Strong instinct for what works in-feed and why

  • Experience collaborating with creators or influencers

  • Comfort with light editing tools and platform-native formats

  • Curiosity and fluency with emerging AI creative tools

  • Ability to balance creative intuition with performance feedback

  • iPhone shooting or lightweight production experience is a plus

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience

  • Performance-based bonus opportunity

  • Health benefits, PTO, and flexible work environment

  • Opportunity to grow scope and influence into senior creative leadership

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Creative is the growth engine. This role exists to ensure strong ideas turn into repeatable performance — not one-off wins.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
