Cuyana is looking for a passionate Freelance Social Content Creator who thrives at the intersection of fashion and internet culture.

This candidate lives and breathes social media and is equal parts brand storyteller and creative producer. You’ll ideate, shoot, and edit short-form videos that bring our products and lifestyle to life in authentic, culturally fluent, and brand-right ways. You don’t just know what’s trending; you understand why it works and how to adapt it for a brand. This is a highly creative, fast-moving role working directly with the Director of Brand Marketing.

Candidates must be based in Los Angeles with the flexibility to shoot on-site, in-store, or on set regularly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Film, edit, and produce 20-30 mobile-first, short-form videos across Instagram Reels and TikTok that align with Cuyana’s brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling style
  • Track performance across platforms and iterate quickly based on insights, feedback, and cultural moments
  • Conduct ongoing trend and competitor research to pitch fresh, platform-native content ideas. Translate trends, sounds, formats, and memes into content that feels authentic to Cuyana
  • Capture behind-the-scenes content at photoshoots, launch events, retail visits, and day-in-the-office moments featuring team members
  • Appear on camera as needed and capture content with affiliate partners and external creators to keep the platforms multi-voiced and dynamic
  • Collaborate with the Director of Brand Marketing to test and execute new content strategies that drive engagement, growth, and awareness
  • Support the creation of TikTok ad concepts by filming UGC-style footage, testing hooks, and producing platform-native creative

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years of experience in creating short-form social content. Sharing examples of your work or portfolio with your application is highly encouraged
  • Strong storytelling skills and visual taste
  • Proficient in mobile editing tools (CapCut required) and fluent in Instagram and TikTok content formats
  • Strong understanding of social trends and content strategy, with the ability to pivot quickly
  • Takes constructive feedback well while having the ability to work autonomously and provide self-direction when needed
  • Embodies Cuyana's Fewer, Better philosophy
  • Previous experience for a fashion or luxury brand a plus
  • Based in Los Angeles with the flexibility to shoot on-site, in-store, or on set regularly

Compensation range for this role is a monthly retainer in the range of $4,000–$8,000, depending on experience level, scope of deliverables, and qualifications.
